Georgia Vs. Missouri Score: Bulldogs Trail Tigers 10-9 At Halftime

A missed extra point has the Bulldogs trailing the Tigers 10-9 at halftime in front of a packed house at Faurot Field in Missouri.

Both teams started slowly offensively but came alive late in the half. Andrew Baggett put the Tigers on the board early with a 38-yard field goal to make the score 3-0. The Bulldogs tied things back up later in the quarter with a 52-yard field goal from Marshall Morgan.

The Tigers would find the endzone first as James Franklin hit Marcus Lucas for a 41-yard scoring strike and a 10-3 lead with just 1:31 remaining in the half. It didn't take long for Georgia to answer driving 71 yards in five plays capped off by a two-yard touchdown pass to Marlon Brown. The extra point would have tied the game but freshman kicker Marshall Morgan pushed the attempt off to the left making the score 10-9.

Aaron Murray turned around a pretty subpar first half with a solid final drive. Murray completed 10 of 17 passes for 104 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Marlon Brown has four catches for 47 yards and the Bulldogs lone score.

Georgia's defense has harassed James Franklin but he still came up with a solid first half. Franklin finished the half 12 of 21 for 122 yards and a touchdown. He also added 33 yards rushing in the first half.

The Bulldogs defense was much maligned throughout the week after its performance against Buffalo and with the fact that four starters are missing the game due to suspension. They have answered the bell so far tonight however holding the Tigers to 130 total yards and just eight rushing yards as a team in the first half.
