The Georgia Bulldogs (11-2), runners-up in the SEC, jumped out to early 10-point favorites and now stand as 8.5-point favorites in their 2013 Capital One Bowl showdown with the Nebraska Cornhuskers (10-3) on New Year's Day. The total for the game is 57, courtesy of our partners at OddsShark.com.
Georgia fell just short in the SEC Championship Game, losing to the Alabama Crimson Tide 32-28 when the Bulldogs were sopped on the Tide's five-yard-line as time expired. Nebraska was embarrassed in the Big Ten Championship game, losing 70-31 to Wisconsin.
This is the fifth straight season in which the Cornhuskers are playing in a bowl game, and the second straight year Nebraska is in the Capital One Bowl. The Huskers lost to Steve Spurrier's South Carolina Gamecocks 30-13 last year. Georgia has lost it's last two bowl games.
The SEC has defeated the Big Ten in four of the last five Capital One Bowls.
