ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay released his first mock draft of the season this past week, and Georgia Bulldogs linebackers Jarvis Jones and Alec Ogletree are both projected to be selected in the first round. Jones is projected to go to the New Orleans Saints at the 13th pick, and Ogletree is projected at 17 to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Jones is seen by many draft experts as the best pass rushing outside linebacker available in the draft, so it's no surprise that he'd go in the top half of the first round. Jones recorded 77 tackles, 12.5 sacks, and 22.5 tackles for a loss this past season and was only a half sack away from being tied for the most sacks in college football.
Ogletree was a tackling machine at middle linebacker for the Dawgs this past season. He led the team with 98 tackles and also recorded 8.5 tackles for a loss and two sacks.
