Masters 2013: Tee times and TV schedule for Thursday

The big names are spread fairly evenly throughout the first round Thursday.

USA TODAY Sports

The 2013 Masters tees off at 8 a.m. ET Thursday, and it isn't much longer before the true household names of golf flood Augusta National as groups of three tee off every 11 minutes.

The first Masters champion to tee off is Sandy Lyle, the 1988 green jacket winner who tees off right at 8 a.m. in the first group with John Peterson and Nathan Smith. The first five groups have former champs in them, though none of them won more recently than Ian Woosnam in 1991.

Charl Schwarzel, Webb Simpson and Peter Hanson tee off at 9:39 a.m. ET, and the next group out at 9:50 features Zach Johnson, K.J. Choi and Graeme McDowell. Bubba Watson, the defending Masters champion, tees off at 10:34 a.m. ET with Ian Poulter and Steven Fox. World No. 1 Tiger Woods goes off in the next group at 10:45. He's pairing on the first day with Luke Donald and Scott Piercy.

The last three groups of the day feature a handful of big names. Phil Mickelson, Louis Oosthuizen and Martin Kaymer start their rounds at 1:30 p.m. ET. Rory McIlroy and Keegan Bradley are part of the group that tees off at 1:41 p.m., and the final group of the day features Jason Dufner and Matt Kuchar.
