The Braves loaded the bases, but unfortunately Derek Lowe was the batter. Jason Heyward, finally, recorded the first hit of the series. Troy Glaus followed by hitting a grounder to third basemen Mark Fontenot, but he threw it high to Freddy Sanchez allowing Heyward to slide in safe. Rick Ankiel walked, which preceded a one-pitch fly out to Derek Lowe. Lowe has definitely looked more efficient than Bumgarner so far, but the Braves need to score to take some pressure off their starter.
