Phillies Get on Board First In Seventh

After a great end to the sixth from Johnny Venters, coming back to strike out Mike Sweeney, the Braves let him down defensively in the seventh. Brooks Conrad as the culprit again, as a hard hit ball to third resulted in almost the same kind of bad throw toward second which victimized the Braves yesterday. Aggressively attempting to turn a double play, Conrad instead fired the ball into right center and recorded no outs, allowing the runner to advance to third. With the infield drawn in for Utley, a soft groundball sneaked past a diving Infante to score the first run of the game.
