Scott Linebrink Did Not Have Many Fans in Chicago

South Side Sox, the Chicago White Sox blog on SB Nation, has a memorial post up on Scott Linebrink. For some reason I get the feeling he was not loved by the Chicago faithful.

The link is worth clicking to read some of the comments made by White Sox fans. The readers seem to have a certain nickname for the reliever not worth repeating here, as well as a photo that was photoshopped to represent the nickname. It is humorous stuff, but it is not something I hope to see from Braves fans this coming season.

It should be expected for Linebrink to have better numbers as he returns to the National League and pitches on a more neutral field. His home run rates steadily climbed after signing with Chicago, yet his BB/K rates remained solid. It is a sign that Linebrink has not lost all of the magic from his San Diego days.
