Matt Diaz Reconnects With A Pittsburgh Pirate

It's the middle of non-baseball season (Yes, that is how I label my seasons. What of it?), so finding news is rather difficult. However, we have you covered with photos of the Tedsicle, as well as news regarding more former Braves.

Rob Biertempfel has an article about Matt Diaz's first days as a Pirate. Apparently, Diaz gave Andrew McCutchen hitting instruction while Diaz was a minor leaguer for the Rays. Now that's kind of funny.

The Rockies have come to terms with Matt Belisle on a one-year deal. Belisle established himself in the Colorado bullpen last season with a 2.93 ERA and 2.68 FIP in 92 innings. He looks to remain a solid late-innings option for the Rockies. Belisle was drafted by the Braves in the second round in 1998, and he was last seen pitching for them in 2003.

Bill Baer of Crashburn Alley compares FanGraphs' fan projections between the Braves and Phillies. It's funny how out there some of the Braves projections are. I guess it shows Braves fans are pretty optimistic. At least when we have something to be excited about.
