The Braves prospect camp continued today, and Martin Gandy over at Talking Chop attended. He was able to provide some good photos, found on Twitter and the web site. Bobby Cox stopped by to talk to the players, and as you can see from the photos, so did the rest of the big guys up top. Seeing these just makes you want baseball even more.
↵From the AJC comes the official roster of who is attending the camp. Nothing out of the ordinary for such a camp. People still can't spell "Dimaster" and Mycal Jones is apparently getting work in center field. Not a bad idea to at least try him out.
↵David O'Brien went detailed in his latest blog entry. He focuses on Nate McLouth and the Braves' confidence in him as a starting center fielder. Frank Wren: "No. The money was never in the equation. The talent is what makes those decisions and drives those decisions. And Nate has talent."
↵Also mentioned by O'Brien is the prospect camp and those attending. There are little tidbits about Julio Teheran, Edward Salcedo, Mycal Jones, Tyler Pastornicky, Andrelton Simmons and Erik Cordier. He further confirms that Jones will play center a good bit at AA this season. He also mentions Chipper Jones, saying, according to Wren, that he is driving the ball now during batting practice and looks good.
↵The names for the Braves Caravan have been announced. Naturally, those around Atlanta are the strongest, but there are a few others that have some big names.
