From Hartsfield To Turner Field: Atlanta Braves Have One Of MLB's Most Airport-Friendly Stadiums

New, 1 comment

If traffic is removed from the equation, the distance between the Atlanta Braves' Turner Field and Hartsfield (Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport if you're nasty) is the eighth-shortest in Major League Baseball, according to an excellent chart by a very bored Behind The Box Score. Again, that's without traffic.

(Hi. If you happen to be looking for directions from the airport to the Ted, here are those.)

Of course, just about everything sports-related and inside the perimeter is pretty close to Hartsfield, and traffic will always be a huge deal. But look at some of those distances ... can you imagine flying in as a Washington Nationals or Kansas City Royals fan? The worst might be the Los Angeles Dodgers, where there's both a long commute and Atlanta-esque traffic to tangle with.

BTBB's other charts in that story show the Ted as being among the parks that offer $10 seats and having reasonable hotel access.
