Jimmy Rollins Predicts 100 Wins For The Philadelphia Phillies

There comes a point in time when you just grow up and learn how to speak appropiately. Jimmy Rollins has yet to reach that point. He has made another of his famous predictions, saying the Philadelphia Phillies will win 100 games.

I won't even try to act like I know how many predictions Rollins has made in the past. If it's, say, four, then it's four too many. Making these predictions does nothing for your team. All they do is make you out to be a jackass. If a player has any sense at all, he simply makes the general comment saying it's too early for a prediction, like what Cliff Lee followed with. This is just another example of how big-headed some of the Phillies are.

"Yeah, we’ll win 100 games," he said. "I really plan on going after, who is it, Seattle won (116) or something recently. We’ll go get somewhere hopefully in that range, but that requires, after being lucky enough to stay healthy, having everybody doing their job on the mound, in the field and in the box."

"Everybody keeps talking about our pitching staff and how great they are, and arguably so. I think they’re the best pitching staff in baseball, arguably the best ever assembled.

It's one thing to be supportive of your teammates. It's different when you're saying these things.
