An absolute must read is Beyond the Box Score's visuals for Andruw Jones. If you're looking for evidence that Andruw is a Hall of Famer, this is it. The graphs compare him to a lot of Hall of Famers and he stacks up during his peak years. It is quite sad that he wasn't able to keep it going for a longer amount of time, and in the end that will hurt him, but in no way should it overshadow the tremendous amount of value he was worth to the Braves.
↵Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus has his top 101 prospects. The rundown:
↵5. Julio Teheran
↵20. Freddie Freeman
↵26. Mike Minor
↵50. Arodys Vizcaino
↵56. Craig Kimbrel
↵58. Randall Delgado
↵Teheran is the top pitching prospect, as expected. Freeman sits pretty at No. 20, as does Minor at 26, which I did not expect. Goldstein thinks very highly of Vizcaino, probably more than most, which is the reason for the higher ranking than Delgado. Kimbrel in between the two is probably the biggest surprise to me. He hasn't received that much respect from most lists.
↵Tim Brown of Yahoo! has a nice piece on Chipper Jones and Bobby Cox. It gives a description of how Bobby is handling retirement and how close Chipper is to doing the same. Good read.
