Braves: The Washington Post reports momentary Braves postseason hero Rick Ankiel is likely to start at center field for the Nationals. No word on how this news impacts this morning's Nats preseason report by SB Nation's Rob Neyer. Apparently they're more interested in the fielder portion of center fielder, as that's been Ankiel's relative strength so far this spring training.
↵Also, high marks for the Braves minor league system just keep rollin' in.
↵Falcons: Add UGA's Akeem Dent and USC's Mike Mohamed, both linebackers, to the list of players the Falcons will have worked out by NFL Draft day. What's that? There's not such a list? Some blogger should take it upon himself to create one? Yes, this will happen at some point.
↵Georgia Bulldogs: The Lady Bulldogs pulled off the second-most surprising upset of the NCAA Women's most recent round, according to Swish Appeal. Auburn hopes to name a new starting quarterback by the end of spring practice, with freshman Kiehl Frazier taking on upperclassmen Barrett Trotter and Clint Moseley. And here's a great story about Mark Richt going out of his way to help a player who didn't even play for Georgia.
