MARTA Braves Shuttle To Turner Field Back In Business For 2011 Season

MARTA’s popular but expensive bus shuttle from Underground Atlanta to Turner Field for Atlanta Braves games will run for at least “a year or two” more. The board voted Monday to keep the routes going for this season after previously talking about dropping the service altogether.

Talking Chop is pretty happy about all this, and Atlanta’s public transit system really should take Talking Chop into consideration as often as possible. All Braves fans should be excited, of course, as this makes getting to Turner Field as easy and simple as anything enormous ITP can be.

MARTA will make up for part of the financial burden of the shuttle by using older buses. Shuttle with confidence, Braves fans, as there’s nothing like riding to the Ted in a vintage. Older vehicles are treasured in many parts of the Southeast — maybe you’ll be lucky enough to cruise in a shuttle bus that’s been entered in classic car competitions or featured in a Big Boi video.
