Mets Vs. Braves Game Rained Out, Saturday Doubleheader Scheduled

The series opener between the Mets and Braves is postponed due to rain. The two teams will make the game up as a doubleheader Saturday, starting at the original time of 4:00 on FOX.

The probables and lineups should remain the same for the first game. D.J. Carrasco will face Derek Lowe in the series opener, while Mike Pelfrey will face Jair Jurrjens in the second game. A few starters might be swapped around due to playing two games, such as David Ross getting a start in place of Brian McCann in one game.

The favorable matchup the Braves are expecting between Carrasco and Lowe won't be affected by the rain. It could favor the Braves even more considering the Mets bullpen will be taxed after the first game, and it will have to do it all over again 30 minutes later.

The weather is expected to clear out by game time in Atlanta. It should be clear and cool for the afternoon.

As mentioned above, the first game is shown nationally on FOX. The second game will broadcast on Peachtree TV and Fox Sports South beginning 30 minutes after the first game ends.
