Jair Jurrjens Start Pushed Back, Braves Sign Scott Proctor, Phillies Sweep Astros: Braves Cup Of Coffee

Braves pitcher Jair Jurrjens will have his 2011 debut pushed back to April 16 (link). He will make a rehab start at AAA on April 11.

The Braves signed reliever Scott Proctor to a minor league deal (link). Proctor was released by the Braves after failing to make the team out of Spring Training, but Proctor agreed to remain with the organization in AAA.

Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino expects to return to the lineup Tuesday (link). Victorino hurt his calf in a collision with Ben Francisco on Saturday.

The Phillies released former Braves prospect Dan Meyer (link).

- Two different pitching outcomes came about in this one, as R.A. Dickey shut down the Marlins over six innings, while Javier Vazquez was lit up through 2.1 innings. Vazquez was greeted rudely in his NL East return.
- Ike Davis and Willie Harris hit homers for the Mets, who took the series with this win.
