Phillies Vs. Braves Score: Braves Chase Cliff Lee After 3.1 Innings And Six Runs, Lead 6-3 After Five Innings

The Braves tacked on three runs in the fourth inning to chase Phillies starter Cliff Lee after 3.1 innings and six runs. The Braves lead 6-3 through five innings.

Lee's nightmarish fourth inning began by hitting Freddie Freeman to lead off the inning. After Tim Hudson struck out, Martin Prado singled to move Freeman to second. Nate McLouth singled to load the bases. The big hit came on a bases-clearing double by Chipper Jones for three runs. After Brian McCann singled to move Chipper to third, Lee was sent to the showers.

Lee allowed six runs on 10 hits in 3.1 innings, walking one and striking out three (Hudson twice). His command was off considerably, tossing cutters and straight fastballs up and over the plate consistently. He gave up seven ground balls, five fly balls and five line drives. Lee's final WPA ended at -.498.

Hudson has induced 15 ground balls to three fly balls over five innings. The Phillies loaded the bases in the fifth with one out, but Ryan Howard grounded into a double play to end the threat. He has allowed three runs on seven hits in five innings.

Chipper has a double and three RBI. Prado has three hits, including a double, and one RBI. McLouth is 2-4 with one RBI. McCann has two singles and a walk. Gonzalez has one RBI.
