Phillies Vs. Braves Score: Brandon Beachy Leaves Game After Two; Philly Leads Through Three, 3-1

Brandon Beachy gave up three runs in two innings before leaving due to injury. The Braves are down to the Phillies through three innings, 3-1.

Beachy was forced to leave his warmups prior to the third inning after perhaps injuring himself while batting in the previous inning. The official word on the injury has yet to be announced.

Beachy allowed a three-run homer to Ryan Howard in the first inning that has been the deciding blow so far. The Braves answered with a run in the bottom of the first when Chipper Jones singled home a run, but Dan Uggla and Freddie Freeman struck out consecutively with two in scoring position to end the inning.

Cristhian Martinez has replaced Beachy and struck out the side in the third. For those wondering when Martinez would get some innings, here you go.

If Beachy's injury is bad enough to miss a start, Martinez could go in a pinch. If it requires a disabled list stint, Mike Minor or Rodrigo Lopez will probably get the call.
