Brewers Vs. Braves Score: Two-Run Triple Has Milwaukee Ahead Through Five Innings, 2-1

The Braves scored first with a run in the third on another David Ross home run, but the Brewers answered in the form of a triple in the fourth to take a 2-1 lead through five.

The game was scoreless through 2 1/2 innings as both Jair Jurrjens and Yovani Gallardo cruised. Gallardo broke in the third inning when Ross hit a solo homer, his third in two games and more than Brian McCann has all season.

Jurrjens broke in the fourth when Nate McLouth dropped a deep fly ball off the bat of Yuniesky Betancourt that resulted in a two-run triple. The two runs that scored were the result of singles by Ryan Braun and Casey McGehee.

Jurrjens has allowed five hits and two runs in five innings, not walking any and striking out four. He's sitting at 61 pitches, working very efficiently early in the game. His ground ball rate continues to increase, as he has eight groundouts to three flyouts so far.

Gallardo has allowed one run on six hits in five innings, walking two and striking out seven. He isn't working quite as efficiently as Jurrjens, due in large part to working around five singles.
