2011 US Open, 1:30, NBC: The most entertaining element of this weekend's event at Congressional has been listening to media types bemoan its lack of a star, which means Tiger Woods. Like, as of Saturday this was still happening. With the next breath they'll mention the records Rory McIlroy is reprinting in his native tongue, which is apparently not the behavior of a star. You've been handed a new narrative, friends. No need to fuss about Tiger.
2011 Heluva Good 400, 1, TNT: Michigan International Speedway provides Kurt Busch with his eleventy-fifth straight pole in an event named after sour cream, the state fruit of Michigan.
Texas Rangers at Atlanta Braves, 1:30, Fox Sports South: That team is pretty good, and should be shipped back to the league it came from. Good thing these losses to not count, as they were incurred in an exhibition against a team from another country.
South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Texas A&M, 7, ESPN2: Definitely think the Cocks have the much easier College World Series bracket. Can the SEC go 3-0 in the first round? We hope so, as we'll be running short on games to write about as soon as all three teams are out.
Milwaukee Brewers at Boston Red Sox, 1:30, TBS
Virginia Cavaliers vs. California Golden Bears, 2, ESPN
Minnesota Lynx at Atlanta Dream, 3, SportSouth
IndyCar Milwaukee 225, ABC, 3:30
New York Yankees at Chicago Cubs, 8, ESPN
