Edward Salcedo, who received the largest signing bonus of any international free agent in Braves history, is today's prospect of the day.
↵Despite struggling for the past few weeks, Salcedo had an absolute monster of a game on Monday. He went 5-for-5 with two doubles, two homers and two RBIs. He was playing third base for Rome, which is Atlanta's A-Ball affiliate. In a wild game, the team lost 13-8 to the Savannah Sand Gnats.
↵Just 20-years old, Salcedo has already been compared to the likes of Alex Rodriguez and has all of the talent and potential in the world. He has struggled to find consistency in his first full season in the Minor Leagues, but all the club is looking for at these low levels is for flashes of brilliance. Hitting two home runs and two doubles in one game is certainly brilliant.
