The Yankees Are Scared Of The Braves

If you're a Yankee hater (as I am) and enjoy a good trade (and I do), you'll love this quote from Joel Sherman of the New York post. The rumors say the Yankees are looking to acquire a starting pitcher or two to bolster their rotation, but don't expect a trade with the Braves. Why? This is what Sherman had to say in the column:

"the Yankees' policy has become pretty much to run away from Atlanta pitching after having successful Braves hurlers blow up on them."

That's so damn awesome.

You may recall the most recent Braves-Yankees trade worked out pretty well for Atlanta. They shipped Javier Lopez to New York for top-prospect Arodys Vizcaino and Melky Cabrera. While Cabrera didn't quite work out the Braves, Vizcaino is now a top-5 prospect and is one of the more promising pitching prospects remaining in the Minor Leagues. Lopez was awful in his one season in New York and was out of a job by mid-Summer.

Be afraid, Yankees. Be very, very afraid.
