2011 MLB Draft: Matt Murray, Bryan Blough Add To Peach State Prospects List

A few players with Georgia college ties were taken on day two of the 2011 MLB Draft in addition to the three Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Georgia Southern Eagles RHP Matt Murray went No. 306 to the Kansas City Royals, with college teammate RHP Andrew Moye joining Jed Bradley in the Milwaukee Brewers system.

The Kennesaw St. Owls saw RHP Bryan Blough go No. 506 to the Chicago White Sox, where he'll join 2009 day-one picks Chad Jenkins and Kyle Heckathorn in the minors.

Two Georgia Bulldogs players added to Zach Cone's day-one selection: Cecil Tanner was selected No. 706 by the Oakland Athletics, and Michael Palazzone became yet another Georgia player picked by the Brewers.

Kenneth Strauss, 3B of Georgia Perimeter College, was picked No. 783 by the Seattle Mariners, following GPC alums Marlon Byrd, Nick Green and Robby Hammock
