Georgia Southern Eagles RHP Matt Murray went No. 306 to the Kansas City Royals, with college teammate RHP Andrew Moye joining Jed Bradley in the Milwaukee Brewers system.
Two Georgia Bulldogs players added to Zach Cone's day-one selection: Cecil Tanner was selected No. 706 by the Oakland Athletics, and Michael Palazzone became yet another Georgia player picked by the Brewers.
Kenneth Strauss, 3B of Georgia Perimeter College, was picked No. 783 by the Seattle Mariners, following GPC alums Marlon Byrd, Nick Green and Robby Hammock.
