Arodys Vizcaino, NOT Julio Teheran, Is Keith Law's Top-Braves Prospect

Earlier today ESPN's Keith Law updated his top-50 prospects list. Julio Teheran was expected to be near the top of the list, but he wasn't even listed as the Braves' top-prospect. Instead, Arodys Vizcaino, fresh off his stellar performance at the Futures Game, came in at No. 11 and Teheran followed at No. 12.

While this obviously isn't much of a difference in rankings -- not that the rankings mean anything at all -- it was a bit of a shock to see Vizcaino ranked so high. You may recall he was the one acquired (along with Melky Cabrera) in the Javy Vazquez trade of 2009 with the Yankees.

Here is what Law had to say regarding Vizcaino and Teheran...

Vizcaino:

Analysis: Vizcaino would have been the talk of the Futures Game if it wasn't for (Matt) Moore -- electric stuff, great arm speed, better breaking ball than expected. He just needs to stay healthy. Preseason Ranking: 47

Teheran:

Analysis: He's still very highly regarded in the industry, but I'd like to see some improvement on his curveball, which has been stagnant for two years. He's still just 20 years old. Preseason Ranking: 6

Keep up the good work, guys. Can't wait to see you on the mound in Atlanta.
