2011 MLB All-Star Game rosters were announced early Sunday afternoon. As expected, Brian McCann of the Atlanta Braves will get his first career All-Star Game start after having posted the 2010 MVP award, much to the thanks of the San Francisco Giants. This is already McCann's sixth consecutive All-Star Game appearance.
The rest of the National League starting lineup: Milwaukee Brewers 1B Prince Fielder and 2B Rickie Weeks, New York Mets SS Jose Reyes, Philadelphia Phillies 3B Placido Polanco, Brewers OF Ryan Braun, St. Louis Cardinals OF Lance Berkman and Los Angeles Dodgers OF Matt Kemp.
It's up to San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy to fill out his bullpen and select a starting pitcher, which should be Jair Jurrjens if all is right with the world. We'll have an update after the rest of the NL roster is unveiled.
The 2011 MLB All-Star Game is scheduled for July 12 at Chase Field in Arizona.
