Braves vs. Mets Schedule: Hurricane Irene Cancels Saturday, Sunday Games

The Braves and Mets will only play one game this weekend due to bad weather. We have the details inside.

The Braves will play one game this weekend in New York. The games on both Saturday and Sunday have been postponed until a date to-be-determined because of Hurricane Irene approaching the eastern seaboard. The original plan was to schedule the game on Saturday for much earlier in the day, but because of transit issues the teams decided to cancel that game as well.

September 8th will be the day at least one of the games will be made up, if not both. Atlanta and New York currently have that day off, and with the Braves already in Philadelphia that week for a series with the Phillies it only makes sense to play the games then.

As for Friday's game, here is the pitching matchup. It will be broadcasted on SportSouth at 7:10 p.m. EDT:
