The Braves offense as a whole may be struggling, but Freddie Freeman has been huge over the last month. The talented 21-year old rookie first baseman has been rewarded for his efforts with the Rookie of the Month award for the National League.
↵Freeman led all ML rookies with 38 hits, a .362 BA and a .433 on-base % in 27 games in July. Also had 6 HR's and 17 runs scored w/ 18 RBIs, according to the official @Braves Twitter account.
↵We have quite a battle brewing for Rookie of the Year in the National League. Freeman has the best offensive numbers, Craig Kimbrel is going to smash the rookie saves record for any league and Danny Espinosa of Washington is having a big season at second base. Brandon Beachy has been pretty solid as well.
↵Congratulations, Freddie. How about two more awards for August and September? Braves Country would like that.
