Randall Delgado started the game and only made it through one inning, allowing four runs on two hits and two walks. He was pulled for Julio Teheran, who have up seven runs on six hits and a walk. Jairo Asencio worked a perfect inning in the fifth, just to see Jason Rice allow six runs (five earned) on three hits and three walks in one-third of the sixth.
Top-10 organizational prospects J.J. Hoover worked 1.2 scoreless innings without allowing a run, and Sean Gilmartin made his Spring Training debut worked another scoreless inning, allowing one hit and recording one strikeout.
Martin Prado was one of the few regulars to make the trip and went 2-for-3 on the afternoon. Tyler Pastornicky went 0-for-4 and left four runners on base, while Matt Diaz took an 0-for-3.
