Ozzie Guillen Suspended By Marlins For Fidel Castro Comments

Outspoken Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen has been suspended by the club for five-games following his quotes regarding Fidel Castro to a TIME magazine reporter. The comments have set off somewhat of a firestorm among community groups in the Miami area.

As the longtime manager of the White Sox and one time coach of the Braves, Guillen is no stranger to controversy who is quite famous for his rants. However, he no longer is in Chicago and something as serious as Fidel Castro is to many residents of Miami can't be overlooked. The club acted in the only way that it could and perhaps Major League Baseball should follow with punishment of its own.

Guillen has made a career of acting like he was the biggest story. Bigger than his team and bigger than the game. This time it caught up with him.
