The Atlanta Braves will wrap up their spring training schedule this week with a game against the New York Mets on Monday and against their own top minor league players on Tuesday.
Billed as Braves All-Stars vs. Braves Future Stars, the game on Tuesday is of particular interest because the team's former big league skipper Bobby Cox will manage the minor leaguers.
Monday's game against the Mets will give the newest Brave, third baseman Juan Francisco, a chance to get acquainted with his new club before the season begins. Atlanta acquired Francisco from the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday for minor league pitcher J.J. Hoover. Francisco will be used to fill in at third base while Chipper Jones recovers from last week's arthroscopic knee surgery.
On Thursday the Braves will face the Mets again for Opening Day.
