Tim Hudson Injury: Braves Pitcher Strong In Final Rehab Start

Tim Hudson allowed one run in 5 2/3 innings Tuesday night at Gwinnett and is penciled in to make his 2012 season debut with the Braves on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

"I feel like we're going pretty good from a team standpoint," Hudson said. "The chemistry is really good. We're playing some good baseball. Whatever I can do to come in and make some kind of positive impact, that's always what I'm looking to do."

Hudson will take the place of the struggling Jair Jurrjens who was sent down after struggling again on Monday against the Dodgers. The Braves called up reliever Cory Gearrin to replace Jurrjens in the short term but will likely send him back down over the weekend once Hudson is activated.
