Brian McCann Exits Game In 6th Inning, Braves Lead Pirates 2-1

According to a tweet from ESPN's Buster Olney, Braves catcher Brian McCann was pulled from Friday night's game with the Pittsburgh Pirates during the sixth inning. He was replaced behind the plate by David Ross.

After Garrett Jones of the Pirates singled to drive in a run and tie the game in the top of the fourth inning, the Braves scored in the bottom of the inning when shortstop Tyler Pastornicky singled to center to drive in Jason Heyward.

Michael Bourn continues to have success at the plate as he is 2-for-2 thus far to raise his season marks to .325/.393/.412.

Tommy Hanson has looked good in six innings pitched so far, allowing just one run on six hits. He has struck out five, while walking three.

We'll continue to monitor the situation with Brian McCann, and for continued Atlanta Braves coverage, make sure to head on over to Talking Chop.
