Following a sloppy night of baseball on Wednesday, Atlanta Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez is turning back to his favorite lineup to salvage a series split with the Marlins. After giving Michael Bourn and Chipper Jones the night off, both are back in the lineup hitting in their customary spots.
The Braves will hand the ball to Brandon Beachy this evening, who has been among the best pitchers in the game thus far. For as inconsistent as last night's starter, Mike Minor, has been, Beachy has given the club a great start just about every time he's taken the mound. The Marlins are a hot-hitting team right now and will be one of his toughest challenges yet.
Here is the batting order for Thursday evening.
Michael Bourn CF
Martin Prado LF
Freddie Freeman 1B
Dan Uggla 2B
Brian McCann C
Chipper Jones 3B
Jason Heyward RF
Tyler Pastornicky SS
Brandon Beachy P
First pitch from Turner Field is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. The Braves hit the road yet again after tonight, so make your way down to the ballpark if you're in the area.
