Despite the Braves' recent surge - an offense-laden winning streak that helped bury the demons of the 2011 season - one thing's remained the same so far: they can't beat the Phillies. Atlanta dropped the opening game of their home series against the Phils 4-2 on Tuesday, extending their losing streak to Philly to eight games.
Now Ray Halladay takes the mound against Atlanta on Wednesday night. The Cy Young Winner has a 1.98 ERA this season, but has back-to-back losses due largely in part to a lack of run support from his team. Atlanta will throw Tommy Hanson, so there's a chance the Phillies' offensive woes could continue.
