Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones had a procedure on Saturday where blood was drained from his injured shin/calf area to expedite the healing process.
Chipper Jones had 120 ccs of blood drained from badly bruised left shin Sat am. Feels immensely better. Leg looks really rough. Ugly

Chipper was already reporting an improvement and hopes to be ready to come off the disabled list when he is first available around June 8. Martin Prado is playing third and hitting third for the Braves on Sunday who are also without Brian McCann (Flu) and Freddie Freeman (vision) in the lineup. Jones is hitting .307 this season with five homers and 24 RBIs in 29 games for the Braves.
