2012 MLB Mock Draft: Keith Law Has Braves Selecting Tanner Rahier

We're less than a week away until the 2012 MLB First-Year Player Draft gets underway, and as always, baseball draftniks are publishing a slew of mock drafts. The always-respected Keith Law has posted his latest mock draft over at ESPN Insider, and he has the Braves selecting high school product Tanner Rahier with the No. 21 selection in the draft.

Rahier is committed to play baseball for San Diego, but as always, money talks. Rahier is a 6'2", 205 lb from Indian Wells, California. Per Perfect Game, Rahier is a two-way player, but is a shortstop first and foremost. Rahier participated in the Power Showcase International High School Home Run Derby and maxed out with a pair of home runs over 430 feet -- not too shabby for an 18 year old.

From the mound, Rahier can hit 93 mph, but if selected in the draft, he'll be looked at as a shortstop prospect, as he should be.
