The Atlanta Braves rebounded from their eight-game losing streak - a run that sent them from first place in the NL East to the bottom of the division - with two consecutive wins over the Cardinals. Now they'll try and keep digging their way out against first place Washington, who will send ace Stephen Strasburg to the mound Friday night in D.C.
Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons will make his debut in the majors after being called up Wednesday night, and Atlanta will have both Freddie Freeman (eye issues) and Brian McCann (illness) in the lineup against the Nats, two players who missed last weekend's D.C. sweep in Atlanta.
