The Boston Red Sox have been trying to shop third baseman Kevin Youkilis, and the Atlanta Braves have been one of the teams rumored to be in the running to acquire Youkilis. However, according to Fox Sports Ken Rosenthal the Braves are not involved in trying to land Youkilis.
The Red Sox are looking to move the aging Youkilis since they believe their third base prospect Will Middlebrooks is more than ready to take over, and that clearly seems to be correct as he has 31 RBI in 38 games so far this season.
Other teams that are reportedly in the hunt for Youkilis are the Chicago White Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers with the White Sox the current leader.
