Brandon Beachy Injury: Braves Pitcher Rejoins Club After Surgery

Injured Braves pitcher Brandon Beachy was back with the club on Tuesday as Atlanta prepared to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. It will be this time next season before Beachy is back in action for the club as his recovery from "Tommy John" surgery is expected to take approximately 10-11 months.

Just five days removed from his surgery, Beachy will trade in his hard cast on Wednesday for a brace. Its been a difficult few days but he is coping with the tough road back that lies ahead.

"It sucks, obviously, but it's something I can't control now. It's done and now I'm just looking forward. It's not fun watching these guys on TV but I'll make it through."

Beachy was 5-5 on the season with a 2.00 ERA and was leading both leagues holding opposing batters to just a .171 average.
