Braves Send Out Big Bats To Combat Trevor Bauer's Debut

The Atlanta Braves will go for a series sweep on Thursday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks, who will be debuting their No. 1 prospect. Trevor Bauer is a hard-throwing righty with full command of four pitches, and he is regarded as a top-10 prospect across all of Major League Baseball.

It will be a huge night for the D-backs, but also all of baseball. Bauer has the potential to be a true ace on the mound, which there are fewer and fewer of in this day and age of the game.

For the Braves, Jair Jurrjens will look to build off a phenomenal start in Boston. Jurrjens was pounded early in the season, but he appeared to be healthy as he worked seven innings of one-run ball against the Red Sox last weekend.

Here is the Braves' lineup for Thursday. It's the same one employed in the two earlier games of this series, only Chipper Jones and Dan Uggla have switched spots.

Michael Bourn - CF
Jason Heyward - RF
Martin Prado - LF
Brian McCann - C
Chipper Jones - 3B
Dan Uggla - 2B
Freddie Freeman - 1B
Andrelton Simmons - SS
Jair Jurrjens - P

First pitch from Turner Field is set for 7:10 p.m.
