Braves. Vs. Diamondbacks: Kimbrel Allows Late Homer In 3-2 Loss

Craig Kimbrel allowed a solo home run to Chris Young in the top of the ninth and the Braves were unable to sweep the Diamondbacks with a 3-2 defeat.

The homer snapped a streak of 17 straight scoreless outings for Kimbrel, who had allowed two hits in his previous 13 innings.

The Braves opened the scoring with an RBI double from Brian McCann in the third inning. McCann went 1-for-4. Michael Bourn doubled the lead with a sac fly in the fourth. Bourn went 0-for-3. Martin Prado went 2-for-4 with a run scored as the only Braves player with multiple hits.

But Jair Jurrjens wasn't able to get out of the sixth inning, allowing two earned runs in the frame. The Braves left 10 on base and went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position.
