Atlanta Braves Vs. Washington Nationals: Saturday Preview, TV Schedule And More

It doesn't get any easier for the Atlanta Braves on Saturday. After dropping the first game of a three-game series to the Washington Nationals on Friday, the Braves face off against Stephen Strasburg on Saturday afternoon.

Strasburg has been excellent this year, which is a surprise to exactly no one. To date, Strasburg is 9-2 with a 2.60 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and has held opposing hitters to a .217 average. Strasburg has only issued 23 walks on the year as well, while striking out a staggering 118 in just 90 innings this year.

Mike Minor starts for Atlanta, as he looks for his first win since June 7, and his first quality start since June 12. Minor brings a 6.14 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and .271 average against into Saturday's contest. Despite the lousy numbers overall, Minor has managed to miss a fair share of bats, as he's struck out 70 in 80 and 2/3rds innings of work this year.

First pitch between Atlanta and Washington is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET. Televised coverage can be found on SportSouth.
