MLB Draft Results: Braves Pick Left-Handed Pitcher David Starn In Seventh Round

The Atlanta Braves have selected another left-handed pitcher in the seventh round of the 2012 MLB Draft. David Starn, a senior out of Kent State, was the 239th overall pick and is expected to sign with the Braves since he is out of college options. Starn was recently named MVP of the MAC Tournament for his fine performance on the mound.

Starn features a fastball in the low 90s and a solid curveball. At 6'0 and 190lbs he may project more as a bullpen arm, although he will be given every chance to start with the Braves.

Here is a recent video interview with Starn. He seems to have a good idea of what he wants to do on the mound.
