The Atlanta Braves dominated in game one behind the arm of Tim Hudson and a line-up that churned out 11 runs against the Miami Marlins staff. Game two was an entirely different story. While it wasn't quite the blowout, Randall Delgado extended the incredible pitching the Braves are getting in this series in tonight's 2-1 win in game two.
Delgado threw six-plus innings and allowed only two hits and one run. He struck out seven and walked one. Josh Johnson also performed admirably for the Marlins. He allowed two runs in seven-plus innings, but Delgado was slightly better in the pitcher's duel. Craig Kimbrel closed the game with a perfect ninth for the Braves for his 17th save.
Brian McCann went 3 for 4 from the plate for the Braves, but both teams struggled at the plate. The Braves struck out 10 times including Andrelton Simmons who went 0 for 3 with 2 strikeouts. The only hits for the Marlins came on a double from Giancarlo Stanton and a single from Bryan Petersen in the fifth inning.
