2012 MLB All-Star Game: Craig Kimbrel Dominant In Relief Appearance

Craig Kimbrel entered the 2012 MLB All-Star Game in the bottom half of the eighth inning with the National League leading the American League 8-0. Kimbrel made quick work of the two batters he faced striking out Cleveland shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera and Texas second baseman Ian Kinsler.

Kimbrel faced just two batters in the eighth and Tony LaRussa opted to insert Reds reliever Aroldis Chapman to face Mike Trout. Chapman walked Trout before coming back to strike out Mark Trumbo.

Kimbrel is the last of the four Braves representatives to get into the game. Dan Uggla started the game at second base and went 1 for 2 with an RBI. Chipper Jones singled in his final All-Star game at-bat and Michael Bourn struck out in his only plate appearance thus far.
