MLB Trade Rumors: Zack Greinke Also Being Pursued By Angels

A little over a week ago it looked like the Atlanta Braves and Baltimore Orioles were the frontrunners to acquire Milwaukee right hander Zack Greinke. Since then the Rangers and now the Angels have joined the race.

Both the Rangers and the Angels are also rumored to be in on Philadelphia pitcher Cole Hamels but the race to acquire a big name arm could just be heating up.

Greinke's free agent status will hurt his trade value if the Brewers decide to deal him but Atlanta could conceivably offer up one of young pitchers Julio Teheran, Mike Minor or Randall Delgado in any trade package for an established arm. The Braves are looking for some consistency in the starting rotation and the newly signed Ben Sheets could make his debut for the team on Sunday against the Mets.
