Braves Vs. Nationals: Friday Game Preview, TV Info And More

This is going to be an important series for both the Braves and Nationals, but even more so for Atlanta, which heads to D.C. for a weekend head-to-head with the NL East division leading Washington Nationals. The Braves are on the Nationals' heels with their recent success, going 8-2 in their last 10 outings, while the Washington has scaled back a bit.

The head-to-head matchup means more for the Braves because they are still in second place, just a few games behind the Nationals. Facing Stephen Strasburg isn't the ideal way of beginning such an important series, but the Nationals have one of the best pitching rotations in baseball, so the Braves are going to have play well against elite pitching in this series, either way. Tommy Hanson will start for Atlanta on Friday.

Take a look here at the game schedule and broadcast information:

Date/Time: Friday, July 20, 7:05 p.m. ET
