The Braves, just a few games back out of the NL East lead, will be in Miami for the next few days to play a struggling Marlins team. The Braves have to be frustrated at this point, since they dropped their last two games against the division-leading Washington Nationals over the weekend.
It was a prime position to move themselves closer toward the lead, but the Nationals weren't having it. Going against the Marlins could help the Braves' cause, though. The Marlins are losers of five straight, and seven of their last 10 games. Mike Minor (5-6, 5.69 ERA) will face Josh Johnson (5-7, 4.35 ERA) in the pitcher's duel.
