Trade Awaiting Approval From Ryan Dempster

A day of twist and turns comes down to one man's decision. The trade between the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves will go through if Ryan Dempster approves it.

In the past he has made it seem as though he would accept a trade to a contending team.

If Dempster agrees to the deal, Randall Delgado is reportedly heading from Atlanta to Chicago. He was optioned to triple-A after his last start.

Although just 22 years old, Delgado has yet to prove he can pitch in the big leagues. In 24 career MLB starts, he is 4-9 with a 4.42 ERA, and he is winless in his last six starts.
