MLB Trade Rumors: Ryan Dempster Still Could Be Heading To Atlanta

The Atlanta Braves were planning to move on from acquiring Chicago Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster and move on to try to land Zack Greinke. Since the Braves did not get Greinke, there are those who feel that the Braves will come back around and try to land Dempster.

Dempster still has to approve a trade to the Braves, and while he never said he would not go to Atlanta he did not approve the trade that the two teams agreed to last week. That same trade is no longer on the table at this time since Dempster never approved the deal.

The Dodgers are the other team that are involved in Dempster, but that trade fell through since the Dodgers were haggling over what prospects they would be sending to the Cubs.

The Braves are still in the market to land another starting pitcher, because they are having issues at the tail end of their rotation. On Saturday they put Jair Jurrjens in the bullpen with Kris Medlen replacing him in the rotation for the time being.
